Your Competitors Are Using SEO

We offer and educate all of our clients about SEO. Some feel we are upselling to make more money. We are educating them so they will make choices based on our long time experience so they are successful. In turn, if they grow or need other websites, they will come back to us, a web development company that gave them good information and they see they benefited from our experience. Our clients, other web developers' clients that do not specialize or offer SEO services, or people that took a shot at creating their own site with software or some online builder ask with confusion in their voice, that they had their site out there for months or years and they cannot even find themselves in the major search engines when they search for their company name. If you look through the search engines by searching for things that apply to your products and services, those that are listed before you are those that are using an SEO service, have a lot of links to them (which needs SEO or some sort of successful advertising to get that) or simply pay to be at the top or side with pay-per-clicks. After that it comes down to how clean your code is for the spiders and content being king. So where would your site fall? After the wave of SEO savvy competitors or even lower? Either way, if you are not truly competing with your competitors online, then they will get all the business online.
