Search Engine Effectiveness

There are some basic rules to make your website relevant with its search engine effectiveness. As easy as it may seem to do your own site, most people don't know what they are doing. We run into people that have studied websites on the subject for a week or went to a 3-week class. We have lived and breathed the industry and grown with it since 1996. Some go halfway and have us build the site, knowing the site will be clean html and not produced by a third party application and then think they can learn about search engine effectiveness from visiting some websites and joining their e-newsletter. Books on any technology, especially web technology, is at least a year or more behind by the time it is published and out to the public. To be current, you have to be in and keep up with the industry. We understand budget concerns and compared to agencies or like web development companies, we have more than reasonable rates. We have more competitive rates than people with far less experience than us, and those who don't have as good of an eye for design as us (of course the last part is subjective). We try to accommodate people and even educate them on some things if they are overly budget conscious. We do not have an ego about it and we will be as helpful as we can be. We can show you some places to keep tabs on some of the industry and even give you some tips to not destroy what we have done for you. We will also offer tools that put you in control of your news, events, products, etc anyhow. Working with us, we offer solutions, creativity and function for your business' website, but it is your site. After we have given you information, you may choose that something is more important than the cause and effect that we tell you about. We did an architecture firm's website and they wanted the whole thing in flash. We started the search engine schtick, and I was immediately told they didn't care. It was a portfolio site for them to tell their clients to go to and that was it. We did what they wanted.
