Tribulation

Oh Lord, life has delivered a heavy blow against this vessel of clay,
shattering it into a thousand pieces within just one earth shaking day.

The broken vessel is cruelly subjected to abusive disregard by others,
who tread on the potsherds of your servant, wounded by his sisters and brothers.

He turns his eyes toward heaven, a hurting heart cries out,
for it is impossible to gather the pieces, for they have been scattered widely about.

The servant grows faint, his strength starts to weaken,
suddenly he is visited by the Holy One of heaven.

Hope begins to quicken, in the humble servant's heart,
as the Master Potter reaches down gathering the potsherds that were violently torn apart.

The Mighty One, the Master Builder, The Holy One began,
to mold the broken pieces together, creating a new vessel man.

A new day began for him, as the potter poured in the oil,
the vessel had no leaks, but an anointing the enemy could not spoil.

Trust him every step of the way, for you are his anointed creation,
cleverly and wonderfully crafted, to stand in midst of trials and tribulation.
